Google uses two very different kinds of suspension on Business Profiles, and treating one like the other is a common reason appeals fail. Here is how to identify yours and what each needs.
Hard suspensions
A hard suspension removes the listing entirely. Google has concluded the business, as listed, does not meet its eligibility rules. Typical causes are unverifiable addresses, prohibited business types or clear guideline breaches in the name or category. The appeal must prove the business is real, eligible and operating where it says it is.
Soft suspensions
A soft suspension leaves the listing live but removes your ability to manage it. The concern is usually with the managing account: suspicious activity, a policy breach on another listing the account manages, or ownership disputes. The appeal focuses on your right to manage the listing and the compliance of the account.
Why it matters for the appeal
Sending address evidence for a soft suspension, or ownership evidence for a hard one, leaves Google's actual concern unanswered. Diagnosing correctly first is what makes the documentation land.
