Merchant Center Misrepresentation Suspension: What Google Actually Checks

Misrepresentation is the most common reason Merchant Center accounts are suspended, and one of the most frustrating, because Google rarely says which detail caused it. In practice it means Google is not confident shoppers will get what your store promises.

Business identity and contact details

Shoppers and reviewers need to see who runs the store: a business name, working email and phone number, and an address where appropriate, all consistent across the site, the Merchant Center business information and public listings.

Policies that are complete and consistent

Returns, refunds and shipping should be easy to find, specific about timeframes and costs, and should not contradict each other.

Feed and landing page accuracy

Price, availability, currency and shipping in the feed must match what shoppers see on the product page and at checkout.

Requesting a review

Google limits how often you can request a review, and repeated rejections lengthen the wait. Work through every item before you submit.
